Amazing fuel economy - hybrid cars

hybrid_car.jpg

Ultra low emissions and amazing fuel economy, you have probably heard about hybrid cars.

Compared with conventional internal combustion engine vehicles, a hybrid car typically achieves greater fuel economy and lower emissions (which help to curb the infamous “Greenhouse Effect”).

Many people turn to hybrid cars these days as they promise lesser fuel consumption and are environmental friendly. Referred to as electric cars, hybrid cars mix the strength of conventional gasoline motor and electricity, so, technically, a hybrid car is not just an electric car (only about 40% of the energy use of the vehicle is from collected electricity in batteries).

When we talk about advantages, hybrid cars show efficiency, economy, convenience, sustainability, however, like other predecessor technologies, there are problems to owning and using a hybrid car: it is possible that accidents could be more dramatic because of the electric component (high voltage cables),tires, spare parts may be costly, the batteries need significant space and make the car heavier, and of course – the fairly new technology makes it quite expensive.

Even basic hybrid cars are very sophisticated, thus, ordinary mechanics likely would not have the necessary and required skill set to attend to any technical requirement for repair of any hybrid car.

As oil costs continue to rise, the invention of the hybrid car brings hope to car owners and drivers. Although there are some disadvantages you really shouldn’t think twice about buying a hybrid car or a hybrid motorcycle. The next generations will be thankful for having a clean, pollution free world, thanks in part to hybrid cars.
